(Sault Ste. Marie, ON June 3, 2022) – Today, at �ǿմ�ý’s final spring convocation ceremony, �ǿմ�ý proudly presented an honourary diploma in Sports Administration to �ǿմ�ý alumnus and local front-line worker Ryan Vendramin. Surrounded by the �ǿմ�ý community, some of our newest graduates and supporters, Ryan stood on the convocation stage once more to accept this honour.

Ryan graduated with Honours from �ǿմ�ý’s Police Foundations program in the Spring of 2019, and graduated with honours from �ǿմ�ý’s Protection, Security and Investigation program in the Spring of 2020. During his time at the College he was the �ǿմ�ý men’s hockey team Captain, National Champion and two-time American Collegiate Hockey Association Player of the Year.

“It is with great pride that we are able to recognize Ryan’s outstanding contributions not only to �ǿմ�ý, but also to our community as a whole,” said Dr. Ron Common, President �ǿմ�ý. “Ryan has been a leader as a student, student-athlete and now in his chosen profession. We are honoured to have him as part of the �ǿմ�ý family and we wish him all the best in the future,” added Dr. Common.

“Attending �ǿմ�ý was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I learned from so many great teachers and I met a lot of great people that I will be friends with for life. I felt extremely well-prepared to enter the workforce as a police officer after graduating from the Police Foundations and Protection, Security and Investigations programs. It is an honour to be recognized today by �ǿմ�ý,” said Ryan Vendramin.
