Earn High School Credits with ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ and TVO ILC

Are you are missing a  college or university level English or Math credit from high school that you need to apply or get accepted to a ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ program? Or maybe you need to improve your grades to get admitted to the program you want. Either way, we can help, and the best part is you don’t have to go back to high school. You can do it from the comfort of your own home.

TVO ILC and the Ontario Ministry of Education have partnered provide you with  online options to take Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)  courses that will satisfy ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ program admission requirements. Register  for these high school courses through ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½, with the course content  delivered by  TVO ILC  in their high-quality, fully online, asynchronous learning environment.  This lets you complete your OSSD course(s) according to your own schedule.

You'll receive an orientation before starting the course and check-ins by ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ staff along the way. Grades and feedback on your coursework will be provided by the team at TVO ILC.    Courses run for 8-14 weeks, letting you quickly earn required OSSD credits and work towards  getting accepted into your diploma or degree program of choice.

*This fee is applicable to Ontario residents and Canadian citizens only. It does not apply to out-of-province and international students.

  • Canadian students from outside of Ontario and international students  interested in registering for these online courses    can contact our Continuing Education department for course fee and registration information
  • Registration process and course fees will vary for international students

  • You can earn required OSSD course credits in as little as one semester, so that you can apply to your ÐÇ¿Õ´«Ã½ program of choice  
  • If you already have the course credit, but need to improve your grade for admission to our programs,   you can re-take your required OSSD course  through this program

What are the admission requirements?


Academic Requirements
You must not be     currently enrolled in a high school in Ontario. If you are, please contact your high school counsellor about enrolling in these courses.

Non-Academic Requirements
If you are under the age of 18, your registration must be accompanied by a parent/guardian signature.

Mandatory Documents for All Applicants

  • Ontario Education Number (OEN)
    • If you have an OEN, you must provide the number
  •  Proof of Ontario Residency (provide one of the following)
    • Ontario driver's license
    • Photo identification card
    • Utility bill
    •  Lease or rental agreement
    • Bank statement
  • Proof of Canadian Citizenship (provide one of the following)
    • Canadian birth certificate
    •  Canadian passport
    • Canadian citizenship certificate
    •  Permanent residency card
    •  Immigration Canada document indicating current refugee or landed immigrant status

Additional Documents 
For applicants 14-20 years of age, please provide:

  • Academic Records or Transcripts (provide at least one of the following)
    • Ontario Student Transcript (OST)
    • Secondary School Transcript from another province or country
  • Out-of-school proof if student’s last school attended was in Ontario (students aged  18-19 must also provide one of the following)
    • Date of Leaving Letter, or
    • Any other document showing student status as “inactiveâ€

How can I register?


You will need to complete the form below. Once the form has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted to confirm that you meet the eligibility criteria and registration details will be provided.
 

What can I expect?


Courses are delivered fully online, asynchronously, which provides you with the autonomy to progress through your courses according to your preferred schedule, within the defined start and end dates of the course.

Each course follows a critical path that requires you to work through course content and assignments sequentially to help keep you on track throughout your studies.

TVO teacher markers will grade assessments and provide feedback before you move on to the next module in each course. Once all course work and assessments are complete and graded, the final exam will be released to you.

Note:

  • Some courses have mandatory final exams. Exams are completed online, using a virtual video proctoring service, which is a requirement for all students.
  • Students are subject to TVO policies and procedures, including their student code of conduct, academic integrity, withdraw, grade appeal and accommodations policies, procedures, practices and timelines. If students require accommodations, TVO will assist.
Can I get a refund?


If you change your mind about registering for one of these courses, please connect with us before the course start date.

There will be no refund after the course starts.
